As part of the scientific activities carried out by the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering, a brochure distribution activity titled “The Future of Prosthetics Engineering in Iraq and Current Challenges” was conducted on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, across the university campus, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Mariam Ghassan Ghaffar.
The brochure addressed key aspects related to the current status of prosthetics engineering in Iraq, the challenges facing this field, as well as future prospects in light of rapid technological advancements, and its role in supporting the healthcare sector and improving the efficiency of provided services.
This activity aims to highlight the importance of specialization and to enhance students’ academic and practical knowledge, contributing to the development of their skills and aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs.
This activity is linked to SDG 4: “Quality Education”, by supporting scientific knowledge and developing specialized skills in line with modern advancements in the medical and engineering fields.
