Youth represent one of the most dynamic and influential forces in modern societies, playing a critical role in driving innovation, social change, and sustainable development. As global challenges such as climate change, unemployment, poverty, and environmental degradation continue to intensify, the active participation of young people has become essential in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established to promote a more equitable and sustainable future. Young individuals possess creativity, adaptability, and technological proficiency, enabling them to develop innovative solutions to complex societal issues and contribute to sustainable economic and social progress. Their engagement in community initiatives, volunteer work, and social entrepreneurship projects enhances social cohesion and promotes environmental awareness. Furthermore, youth leverage digital technologies and social media platforms to advocate for sustainability, raise awareness about global challenges, and mobilize collective action at both local and global levels. Educational institutions play a vital role in empowering youth by providing quality education, fostering leadership skills, and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving abilities that prepare them to actively participate in sustainable development efforts. Governments and organizations must also support youth engagement by creating opportunities for participation in decision-making processes, policy development, and innovation ecosystems. Ultimately, empowering youth is essential for achieving long-term sustainable development, as their active involvement ensures the creation of resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking societies capable of addressing future global challenges.
