Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, as well as the Head of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems, Professor Dr. Mahdi Abadi Manea, the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized scientific workshop on Friday, March 27, 2026, entitled: “Cloud Computing Applications in the Healthcare Sector for Water Data Management and Enhancing Health Safety.” The workshop was held via Google Meet, with the participation of a number of faculty members, researchers, and students. This workshop was conducted as part of the university’s efforts to support digital transformation and promote sustainability concepts. It focused on the use of cloud computing technologies in managing health and environmental data, particularly water-related data, in ways that contribute to improving the quality of healthcare services and ensuring community safety. The workshop included specialized scientific lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Mahdi Abadi Manea, along with programmer Aya Jamal Hedi. They presented the latest technological applications in cloud computing and explored mechanisms for their implementation in the healthcare sector to enhance data management efficiency and support decision-making processes. The workshop also witnessed notable interaction from participants through questions and scientific discussions, reflecting the interest of students and researchers in keeping pace with modern developments in healthcare technology. The department emphasized its commitment to organizing such scientific workshops, which contribute to developing students’ cognitive and technical skills and enhancing their capabilities in innovation and digital transformation. This workshop comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to good health and well-being, as well as ensuring the sustainable management of environmental resources.
