In an effort to establish standards of academic excellence, the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at AL-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized workshop titled “Requirements for Program Accreditation of Engineering Technology Programs at Iraqi Universities,” on the morning of Sunday, March 28, 2026, in the college’s conference hall, under the gracious patronage of the Dean of the College. The workshop saw a high turnout of the targeted audience in attendance, including heads of academic departments and officials from all quality and program accreditation divisions. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Mutashar Abbas, who outlined a comprehensive roadmap covering the national and international standards required for accreditation, as well as methods for developing curricula and academic performance evaluation mechanisms to ensure robust educational outcomes that meet the evolving needs of the job market. The organization of this workshop is a strategic step within a series of academic activities that the college is keen to hold, with the aim of fostering a culture of quality among its staff and elevating the university’s institutional and academic standards to ensure that its engineering programs obtain the official accreditations that place them among the ranks of leading international universities.
