The Aesthetic and Laser Techniques Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an online workshop entitled “Water Scarcity and Its Impact on Communicable Diseases”, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Huda Raed Abdulkhaliq, with the participation of Programmer Muhammad Abdulameer Hassan, on Thursday, 26 March 2026, at 5:00 PM, with the attendance of a number of students from the department. The workshop highlighted water scarcity as one of the most significant contemporary environmental challenges, and its direct implications for public health, particularly its role in increasing the spread of communicable diseases due to limited access to clean water and insufficient adherence to preventive measures in some contexts. In addition, the workshop addressed a range of preventive guidelines aimed at reducing the risk of disease transmission, while emphasizing the importance of rationalizing water consumption and preserving water resources as a fundamental element closely linked to public health and quality of life. The session witnessed active engagement from students through questions and discussions, creating an academically stimulating environment that enhanced knowledge exchange and contributed to achieving the objectives of the workshop. This activity comes a series of scientific events organized by the department to promote health and environmental awareness and to connect academic knowledge with real-world challenges.
