The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the Babil Health Directorate / Department of Operations and Emergency Medical Services, organized a training workshop entitled “Fundamentals of First Aid.” The event was attended by the Dean of the College, along with a distinguished group of faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The first day of the workshop was successfully completed. The workshop is being held over two days, from 29 March 2026 to 30 March 2026, at the College of Dentistry building hall, starting at 9:30 a.m. It is delivered by a team of certified first aid trainers: Alaa Fawzi Abdul Ameer, Dia Arkan Muzhir, and Ali Taha Alawi. The workshop aims to enhance participants’ skills in handling emergency situations and to provide essential knowledge of first aid principles, particularly in dealing with wounds and bleeding. This contributes to improving preparedness and rapid response to emergencies both داخل and outside the university environment. The first day witnessed strong engagement from participants and included both theoretical and practical components, offering attendees the opportunity to acquire hands-on skills that can help save lives and reduce complications resulting from emergency incidents. The College Deanship emphasized that organizing such training workshops in cooperation with healthcare institutions reflects the College’s commitment to developing the practical skills of students and staff, enhancing their applied competencies, and preparing them to respond effectively and responsibly to emergency situations. This activity is part of the ongoing collaboration between the University and health institutions, aiming to promote health awareness and strengthen first aid skills within the community.
