Under the patronage of the President of Future University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Department of Biotechnology, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, organized a specialized scientific workshop entitled: “Microbial Contamination of Water and Health Risks.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Huraa Ayed, where she addressed the risks resulting from the contamination of water resources with microorganisms and their impact on public health. She emphasized the importance of regular monitoring and the use of modern technologies in water treatment to ensure community safety. This activity comes ضمن a series of scientific and awareness initiatives adopted by Future University to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation). The workshop was held via the Google Meet platform on Friday, March 27, 2026, and witnessed active participation and engagement from academics and those interested in enhancing environmental and health awareness.
