Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Workshop on Modern Technologies in Monitoring Water and Energy Quality

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Department of Biotechnology, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, organized a scientific workshop entitled: “Modern Technologies in Monitoring Water and Energy Quality.” The workshop aimed to highlight the latest technologies used in monitoring and analyzing water quality and energy resources, and their role in preserving the environment and public health. It also addressed the importance of utilizing modern devices and techniques for early detection of pollutants, as well as improving the efficiency of natural resource use in line with sustainability concepts. The workshop was delivered by (Lecturer’s Name), where key environmental challenges related to water and energy pollution were discussed, along with innovative scientific solutions based on biotechnology and continuous monitoring to ensure the quality of vital resources. This activity comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), in addition to promoting environmental awareness among students and the community. The workshop witnessed active engagement from academics, students, and those interested, reflecting the importance of this topic in light of current environmental challenges.
