In alignment with Al-Mustaqbal University's vision to bridge the gap between academic theory and field application, the College witnessed on March 29, 2026, a specialized scientific seminar entitled "Engineering and Design Determinants for Photovoltaic (PV) Systems." The session was presented by the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, with the participation of lecturer Zahraa Ibrahim.
The seminar aimed to enhance the technical competencies of specialized students and stakeholders in the renewable energy sector. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd reviewed a suite of strategic themes, ranging from the technical analysis of Current-Voltage (I-V) characteristics to the design mechanisms of stand-alone (off-grid) systems.
Key Seminar Themes:
Mathematical Modeling: Explaining the equations for calculating energy consumption and battery capacity.
Electrical Engineering: Analyzing the technical differences between series and parallel configurations.
Field Simulation: Providing practical solutions for common design and installation challenges, complemented by a model application for system sizing.
The seminar concluded with an extensive interactive session, during which the Dean addressed inquiries from the audience. He emphasized that Al-Mustaqbal University remains committed to updating its training programs to align with international standards in sustainable energy engineering, ensuring the preparation of a generation of engineers capable of leading the energy transition in the region.
