Under the auspices of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University and the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies conducted a comprehensive case study on March 29, 2026. The study aims to transform the Engineering Building into an "Eco-Friendly Smart Building" by integrating advanced technologies for energy optimization and designing a sustainable photovoltaic (PV) system.
This initiative was carried out under the direct supervision of the Head of the Electrical Engineering Technologies Department, with the active participation of the faculty members and a select group of second-stage evening studies students. The project involved several practical milestones, including electrical load calculations, energy consumption analysis, and the evaluation of technical solutions to enhance energy efficiency and minimize electrical waste.
Key Components of the Study:
Renewable Energy Integration: Designing a comprehensive solar power system utilizing PV panels to provide clean energy, thereby reducing reliance on conventional power sources and lowering operational costs.
Smart Building Automation: Implementing motion sensors, intelligent lighting systems, and centralized control units to ensure effective energy management and peak consumption efficiency.
Practical Pedagogy: Bridging the gap between academic theory and field application by engaging students in real-world engineering challenges.
This project reflects the department's commitment to supporting renewable energy initiatives and smart technologies, aligning with Al-Mustaqbal University's strategic goals toward environmental sustainability and global engineering standards.
