A specialized scientific lecture titled “Women and Nutrition: Its Vital Impact on Building a Healthy and Balanced Society” was held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 4:00 PM, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and attended by a number of students and individuals interested in health and nutrition. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Arshad Shaker Kazem from Mustaqbal University and Dr. Abbas Ghafel from the College of Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University. They presented, in a rigorous scientific manner, the importance of proper nutrition for women and its vital role in promoting the health of both the family and society, as well as its direct impact on shaping more aware and healthier generations. The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of nutritional awareness among women, باعتبارها حجر الأساس في تكوين مجتمع صحي ومتوازن، as well as to promote concepts of nutritional education and reduce health problems associated with malnutrition. It also addressed several key objectives, including spreading proper nutritional culture among community members, strengthening the role of women as a fundamental pillar in achieving health balance, preventing diseases related to poor nutrition, and supporting positive health behaviors among students and the wider community. Furthermore, the lecture emphasized its alignment with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger and Food Security), and Goal 5 (Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment). This event is part of a series of scientific activities aimed at raising health awareness and promoting sound nutritional practices, contributing to the development of a healthier and more sustainable society.
