The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the Babil Health Directorate / Department of Operations and Emergency Medical Services, concluded the activities of the Fundamentals of First Aid workshop with the successful completion of its second day. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, along with faculty members, administrative staff, and students, and witnessed remarkable engagement from participants. The second day focused on completing the training program with a strong emphasis on practical components. Participants received hands-on training in essential first aid skills for emergency situations, particularly in managing wounds and bleeding, as well as practical applications designed to enhance rapid and accurate response to various types of injuries. The final day also provided participants with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they had acquired through practical exercises and simulated real-life scenarios, which contributed to reinforcing their skills and increasing their confidence in handling emergency situations. The College Deanship affirmed that the success of this workshop reflects the importance of collaboration with healthcare institutions in developing the capabilities of students and staff, enhancing their practical competencies, and aligning their skills with the demands of the medical field. The Deanship also commended the efforts of the trainers and participants in ensuring the success of the workshop. At the conclusion of the workshop, emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing such training programs due to their vital role in promoting first aid awareness and improving health preparedness within the university community.
