In a faith-filled atmosphere illuminated by the light of the Holy Qur’an, where the meanings of reflection and knowledge become manifest, the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a cultural Qur’anic competition for first- and second-year students. The event reflected a spirit of honorable competition and demonstrated the students’ deep connection to the Book of Allah.
The competition was based on presenting a variety of Qur’anic and cultural questions covering topics such as Qur’anic interpretation (Tafsir), Qur’anic sciences, the Prophetic biography (Seerah), and Islamic concepts. This provided students with the opportunity to recall their knowledge, develop their intellectual abilities, and enrich their Qur’anic culture within an engaging and interactive environment.
The competition was supervised by a specialized judging committee headed by Professor Dr. Saeed Murad Al-Guraity, with the membership of Assistant Lecturer Noor Saad Mushab. The committee managed the competition’s activities and evaluated the students’ answers according to precise academic standards that ensured fairness and objectivity.
The event was attended by several faculty members of the department along with a number of students, whose presence and interaction created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and encouragement, contributing to the success of this blessed academic initiative.
This competition aims to strengthen Qur’anic culture among students, develop their thinking and recall skills, and promote a spirit of positive competition among them, thereby contributing to the formation of a balanced academic personality inspired by the Qur’an as a way of thought and conduct.
This activity is part of the scientific and cultural events that the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education is keen to organize in order to develop students’ knowledge and strengthen their connection with the Holy Qur’an, thus reinforcing authentic Islamic values and enhancing the status of knowledge and learning.
