Media Department Organizes an E-Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Contemporary Horizons

The Media Department at the College of Arts and Humanities organized a specialized workshop titled: “Types of Artificial Intelligence: A Scientific Examination of Contemporary Concepts and Applications,” in line with Future University's vision of keeping pace with global digital transformations. The workshop aimed to enhance academic awareness of smart technologies and their modern applications, with active participation from a select group of the college's faculty and researchers. The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Montadhar Hussein Abd Ali, a faculty member in the Media Department. The workshop featured a comprehensive scientific presentation covering the core classifications of Artificial Intelligence, from "Narrow AI" to the horizons of "Artificial General Intelligence" (AGI). It also highlighted the direct implications of these technologies in digital media, smart education, and future labor market requirements, while providing an in-depth analysis of the ethical aspects and technical challenges posed by the digital revolution. During the session, the lecturers emphasized the necessity of integrating AI tools into educational curricula and teaching processes as a fundamental pillar for developing students' skills and enhancing academic performance, while stressing the responsible and safe use of such technology. The workshop witnessed significant engagement through scientific interventions and extensive discussions that helped formulate a clear vision on how to leverage Artificial Intelligence within humanities and media disciplines. This initiative is part of the Media Department's ongoing scientific program, aimed at consolidating technological knowledge and developing academic capabilities in line with rapid global technical advancements.
