“Silent Venting” Activity: A Safe Space to Promote Students’ Mental Health

The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics at ALmustaqbal University, under the supervision of the Women’s Affairs Committee, organized an interactive activity titled “Silent Venting” on 1/4/2026, providing students with a quiet space to express their feelings silently, yet full of emotions. During the activity, the students chose cards representing their emotions: Red – Stress Yellow – Fear Blue – Hope They then expressed in words what they felt inside—emotions that may not be spoken aloud, but are written with honesty. The activity aims to raise emotional awareness, enhance self-understanding, and provide a safe environment for expression. The activity aligns with the following Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being – Supporting mental health and emotional expression Goal 4: Quality Education – Enhancing self-awareness within the educational environment Goal 5: Gender Equality – Empowering female students to express themselves freely and confidently The activity was carried out by the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics team: Engineer Hadeer Hussam Hashem, Assistant. Lecturer Ghadir Haider Abbas and Assistant Lecturer Hala Muhannad Ismail Haqi.
