Al-Mustaqbal University Launches “No Soft Drinks Day” Campaign to Promote Health and Sustainability

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, the Department of Medical Biotechnology at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign titled “No Soft Drinks Day” on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The campaign was attended by Assistant Lecturer Sarah Rahim Hamza and a number of students. The campaign activities took place across the university campus, aiming to raise health awareness among students and highlight the negative effects of excessive consumption of soft drinks, such as obesity, dental problems, and digestive issues. It also included guidance on adopting healthier lifestyle choices by encouraging students to consume natural alternatives like fresh juices and water due to their significant health benefits. The campaign received positive engagement from students, who showed great interest in the initiative and emphasized the importance of such activities in promoting health awareness within the academic environment. This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to support awareness activities that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing public health culture among students.
