The Biomedical Engineering Department Highlights Modeling and Simulation Techniques in Medical Devices As part of its ongoing scientific activities aimed at enhancing students' practical skills, Future University's Biomedical Engineering Department organized a specialized workshop, led by Dr. Hussam Jawad, focusing on the design and analysis of complex electronic circuits used in modern medical systems. About the Workshop: The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application through a detailed explanation of modeling and simulation diagrams. The session emphasized how to convert the body's vital functions into electrical signals that can be processed and understood using advanced electronic circuits. Methodology: The workshop employed an interactive presentation style, which included: • Analysis of block diagrams of medical systems and clarification of signal pathways. • Explanation of the role of operational amplifiers in improving the quality of vital signals. • Discussion of the latest software used in simulating devices prior to laboratory implementation. The lecture hall witnessed significant student engagement, as these lectures helped simplify complex engineering concepts and connect them to practical realities, thus enhancing graduates' competence in the medical and engineering job market. This activity aligns with the department's vision of providing a supportive learning environment. This scientific activity contributes to achieving several key objectives, including: • Objective 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Through the development of accurate simulation models and a deeper understanding of medical devices, leading to improved healthcare quality and innovative engineering solutions for chronic diseases. • Objective 4 (Quality Education): By providing an interactive learning environment that integrates technology and theory, ensuring students acquire advanced technical skills in accordance with international quality standards. Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked first among private universities in Iraq.
