Radiological Techniques Department Council Holds Its Eighth Session to Discuss Student Affairs and Academic Plans

The Council of the Radiological Techniques Department held its eighth session on Monday, April 5, 2026, in the presence of the General Student Representative, Mr. Redha Sattar Mahdi Assi, to discuss several academic and administrative matters related to the educational process within the department. During the meeting, the council reviewed the work of the examination committees, including discussions on the schedule of the practical evaluative examination, the final dates of evaluative exams and related proposals, as well as the status of examinations for students who failed the first course. The council also reviewed ministerial and administrative correspondences and discussed the progress of the research plan within the scientific departments. In addition, several student affairs topics were addressed, including the status of the Student Information System (SIS), students with delayed tuition payments, and the follow-up of electronic classes. Furthermore, the meeting discussed the recommendations of the committee responsible for reviewing students’ tuition fee reduction requests, as well as the status of quality assurance and program accreditation across the departments. In the same context, the council reviewed plans and statistics related to student activities for Sustainability Week, which include both online and in-person workshops, events, and various student initiatives, along with several proposals aimed at enhancing the educational environment within the department. The Head of the Department emphasized the importance of students’ active participation in academic and scientific activities and praised the efforts of the student representative in conveying students’ opinions and suggestions, contributing to strengthening communication between the department administration and the students.
