The Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries at the College of Engineering, Future University, organized an awareness workshop today, April 5, 2026, titled “The Role of Women in Building a Balanced Society,” presented by Ms. Abrar Falah Naji, in Hall No. 1 of the New Engineering Building, with the aim of highlighting the importance of women’s role in achieving social balance and promoting their participation in various fields.
The workshop addressed the concept of women’s role in society and its importance in supporting social stability and sustainable development, with a focus on their active role in building a cohesive family and an integrated society based on cooperation and mutual support.
The workshop also reviewed the challenges facing women and ways to empower them to perform their roles effectively, while emphasizing the importance of raising societal awareness of the values of equality and equity.
This workshop is part of the department’s efforts to support human values and promote social awareness, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 on gender equality.
