A scientific lecture organized by the Department of Medical Physics at the College of Science at Almustaqbal University on 4/5, 2026, emphasized that water conservation is an urgent necessity for ensuring a sustainable future. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hussein Ali Abd as part of the department’s academic and awareness activities aimed at strengthening students’ environmental awareness. The lecture addressed the importance of water as one of the most vital resources linked to human life and social stability. It also highlighted the growing challenges facing water resources, especially in light of rising consumption rates and environmental and climate changes that have made it necessary to adopt more responsible and conscious practices in dealing with water. During the event, the lecturer explained that water conservation is no longer a secondary option, but has become a scientific and social commitment that requires active participation from both individuals and institutions. He stressed that building a sustainable future begins with daily awareness of the importance of preserving natural resources and managing them wisely in line with the principles of sustainable development. The lecture also reviewed a number of practical methods that can help reduce water waste in educational institutions and in daily life, while emphasizing the importance of spreading environmental awareness among students and linking academic learning with real issues that directly affect society. The event witnessed positive interaction from attendees through questions and discussions that reflected students’ interest in the issue of water and its environmental and scientific dimensions, which contributed to enriching the lecture and achieving its educational and awareness goals.
