Saif Muhannad, a student in the Department of Computer Engineering at AL-Mustaqbal University, took first place in the “Call of Duty” tournament, which brought together elite esports players from across Iraq. The event was held in the capital, Baghdad, organized by the “Next Level” Foundation and sponsored by the Iraqi Esports Federation. This achievement was aimed at strengthening the university’s presence in competitive forums and developing students’ skills in modern technical and sports fields, in line with the requirements of academic excellence and innovation. The ceremony included a presentation by the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, who praised the efforts of student Saif Muhannad (coach and player for the Rage eSports Club), highlighting the high standards he demonstrated in performance and competition in accordance with the regulations approved by the Iraqi Esports Federation. The ceremony was attended by faculty members and administrative staff, along with a number of students, and featured discussions on the importance of supporting esports talent and mechanisms for documenting and highlighting excellence in student achievement records. The college emphasized that this achievement contributes to improving student performance, fostering a culture of creativity, and ensuring support for talented students, thereby advancing its strategic goals and elevating the university’s representation in local competitions.
