The Department of Aesthetic and Laser Techniques organized an online workshop titled “Sustainability Week” on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., with the participation of 108 first-year students.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Hashem Abbas, and Ms. Shahed Noors Abbas, where key concepts of sustainability and its importance across various fields were discussed, with a focus on integrating sustainability principles within the fields of aesthetics and laser techniques.
The session included fruitful discussions among students, during which several ideas and proposals were agreed upon, linking sustainability concepts with the field of aesthetics. This contributes to enhancing environmental awareness among students and encourages them to adopt eco-friendly practices within their specialization.
Students also demonstrated remarkable interaction by presenting innovative ideas that aim to balance beauty and sustainability, in an effort to foster creativity and expand their perspectives toward future sustainable projects.
This workshop comes the department’s efforts to support scientific and extracurricular activities, develop students’ skills, and promote sustainability concepts within academic disciplines, in alignment with the university’s vision of preparing an innovative and socially responsible generation.
