The College of Health and Medical Technologies at ALMustaqbal University organized awareness activities on the occasion of World Autism Day within the campus of ALMustaqbal University. The event hosted Specialist Sara Haroun Rashid and included the participation of a group of children from her center. The activities included a visit by the children to the college, where they were warmly welcomed by the faculty members and students. Several recreational and interactive activities were organized to bring joy to the children and promote their integration into the social and educational environment. The event also featured a scientific lecture delivered by Specialist Sara Haroun Rashid, in which she discussed the definition of Autism Spectrum Disorder, early diagnostic methods, and the most recent approaches in rehabilitation and interaction with affected children. She emphasized the importance of family and community support in improving their quality of life. Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qaim, the Dean of the College, confirmed that these initiatives reflect the college’s commitment to raising students’ health and humanitarian awareness, instilling the concept of social responsibility, and supporting the inclusion of special-needs groups in society. At the conclusion of the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Specialist Sara Haroun and the center’s administration for their significant efforts in caring for the children, recognizing their role in raising awareness and serving this important segment of society.
