As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance educational and ethical standards alongside academic excellence, the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies organized a specialized workshop titled: "Promoting Virtuous Moral Values within the University Environment" The workshop featured insightful presentations and active contributions from a distinguished group of faculty members: Lecturer Amran Issa Mohammed Lecturer Raghda Ali Nasir Lecturer Sally Seelan Hussein Workshop Key Themes The workshop addressed several key pillars focused on developing the character of students and future engineers, most notably: Engineering Professional Ethics: Highlighting honesty and integrity in the execution of construction projects. Educational Conduct: Promoting a culture of dialogue, mutual respect between students and faculty, and among peers. Social Responsibility: The individual’s role in preserving public property and adhering to ethical standards that reflect the sophistication of the academic community. Objectives of the Initiative The organizers emphasized that the primary goal is to consolidate a value system that protects students from alien behaviors and prepares a generation of engineers who possess both technical competence and high ethical commitment, ultimately serving the best interests of the profession and the nation. At the conclusion of the workshop, an open discussion was held for attending students and faculty, who enriched the topic with their inquiries and interventions, stressing the importance of continuing such initiatives that elevate the spirit and foster sound thinking.
