Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, and with the follow-up of the Dean of the College of Arts and Human Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hussain Waheed Aziz, and the supervision of the Head of the English Department, Prof. Dr. Assim Abboud Zubar, the Department of English Language and Literature organized a scientific workshop titled "Research Methods and Academic Writing" on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the university's Central Library. The workshop was presented by Asst. Lect. Mohammed Younis Jassim, who detailed the essential scientific foundations for preparing academic research. The session covered several key stages, starting from selecting a research title and exploring mechanisms for locating sources and references within the Central Library, to the final methods of writing and documenting research according to approved academic standards. Furthermore, the workshop included a practical demonstration on utilizing library resources effectively to support scientific inquiries, providing vital instructions to help students avoid common pitfalls during the research process. The event witnessed significant attendance and interaction from students, followed by a discussion session to address their inquiries, successfully enhancing their foundational research skills.
