On Sunday, April 6, 2026, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries at the College of Engineering, Almustaqbal University, welcomed Dr. Alaa Hamza Al-Maamouri, a chemical expert and member of the department’s Industrial Advisory Board. The event was attended by the department chair, Prof. Dr. Alaa Dhari, with the aim of strengthening research collaboration and promoting applied scientific projects. During the visit, discussions took place regarding the formation of two research teams comprising department faculty and students to conduct two scientific studies. The first study concerns the extraction of eucalyptus oil, while the second focuses on the synthesis of a fire-resistant coating for sandwich panels, thereby contributing to industrial applications and the development of scientific solutions. The visit also included a tour of the research laboratory at the College of Engineering, where the proposed device’s operating mechanism and its capabilities in executing research projects were explained, thereby enhancing laboratory efficiency and supporting the achievement of accurate scientific results. This visit is part of the department’s efforts to expand the horizons of scientific research and strengthen partnerships with industry experts, in line with the university’s commitment to supporting innovation and developing applied projects with a societal impact.
