The Head of the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering Techniques, Professor Dr. Qusay Rashid Abdul Amir, held a meeting with the department staff on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM to discuss preparations for participating in the Sustainability Week activities. During the meeting, the main areas of the department’s participation were reviewed, with an emphasis on ensuring an active and distinguished presence in all events, reflecting the department’s academic and scientific standards. The discussion also highlighted the importance of presenting case studies, graduation projects, and scientific posters in innovative ways that contribute to spreading sustainability awareness and enhancing students’ roles in addressing environmental and energy challenges. The Head of the Department stressed the importance of collaboration between faculty members and students to ensure a high-quality and impactful participation that contributes to the success of Sustainability Week, in alignment with the university’s direction toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to develop a clear action plan and distribute tasks among staff members to ensure full readiness and effective participation in this important scientific event.
