The Department of biology at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a theoretical lecture on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, for second-year students in the subject of Entomology. The lecture was held in the Humanities Building under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ali Shaalan Muaylif, and with the follow-up of the department presidency, within the approved academic plan. The lecture aimed to enhance students’ scientific understanding of entomology concepts, particularly insects of medical importance, and to identify their role in disease transmission and their impact on human health. It also highlighted the main types of such insects, along with methods of prevention and control. The lecture included a detailed scientific explanation supported by practical examples, helping to link theoretical knowledge with real-life applications and to strengthen students’ scientific and cognitive skills. The lecture witnessed notable interaction from students through questions and participation in scientific discussions, reflecting their eagerness to acquire knowledge and deepen their understanding of the subject.
