With the aging population and the increasing number of elderly people worldwide, providing innovative solutions to help them maintain their quality of life has become essential. This is where assistive robots come in, which are among the latest technological advancements in healthcare. These robots aim to support elderly patients in various aspects of their daily lives by facilitating daily activities, improving communication, and providing healthcare assistance. Assistive robots are particularly effective in caring for seniors suffering from conditions such as dementia or memory loss. They can remind them to take medication, assist in mobility around the home, and even provide emotional support through interactive conversations. These robots can also monitor the patient's health through sensors to detect changes in conditions such as low blood pressure or blood sugar levels, sending alerts to caregivers or doctors. Another significant contribution of these robots is enhancing the independence of the elderly. They can help seniors perform tasks like eating or doing simple exercises, which boosts their sense of independence and helps them maintain an active lifestyle. Despite these benefits, there are challenges related to ensuring personal safety and the robot's efficiency in diverse home environments. Additionally, human interaction remains essential in elderly care, so the role of robots should complement, not replace, human care Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
