Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Associate Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and under the oversight of the Head of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems, Professor Dr. Mahdi Ebadi Mani, the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science organized an online workshop on Friday, March 27, 2026, titled “Intelligent Systems and Their Role in Protecting Water Resources”, presented by Mr. Ali Salim Halim. The workshop aimed to raise awareness among students and stakeholders about the importance of utilizing intelligent systems and technologies to manage and protect water resources, contributing to sustainability and environmental conservation. The session included an interactive lecture in which Mr. Ali Salim Halim highlighted modern applications of intelligent systems in monitoring water consumption, detecting leaks, and analyzing water quality, alongside practical case studies demonstrating the effectiveness of these systems in safeguarding water resources. The workshop witnessed active engagement from participants through questions and online discussions, reflecting the academic and student community’s commitment to adopting innovative and sustainable solutions for natural resource management. The Department of Intelligent Medical Systems emphasized its dedication to organizing such scientific workshops and events that promote environmental and technological awareness, supporting Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to build a knowledge-based sustainable community and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 related to clean water and sanitation. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
