Al-Mustaqbal University – Radiology Techniques Department
As part of its relentless pursuit to implement total quality standards and elevate institutional and academic performance, the Radiology Techniques Department at the College of Health and Medical Techniques organized a specialized online workshop entitled: "Accreditation Standards, Action Plans of Department Committees, and Report Monitoring."
The workshop was held on Tuesday (2026-04-08) via the Google Meet platform, targeting faculty members and the administrative staff of the department. It took place under the presence and supervision of the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, with follow-up from the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Raad Shaker Abis, and the Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the college, Dr. Ahmed Najm. This initiative aligns with the directives of the University Presidency and the College Deanship towards achieving academic rigor.
Workshop Objectives and Axes:
The workshop aimed to shed light on the latest standards of programmatic and institutional accreditation, and to draw a clear roadmap to activate the role of internal committees within the department. The agenda included discussions on the following strategic axes:
• Academic Accreditation Strategies: Mechanisms for adapting the outcomes of the Radiology Techniques Department to align with national and international accreditation standards, ensuring the quality of education and clinical training.
• Action Plan Engineering: Guiding specialized committees (such as the Scientific, Examination, and Quality Assurance Committees) towards drafting measurable quarterly and annual action plans based on precise performance indicators.
• Report Monitoring and Evaluation: Establishing systematic mechanisms for documenting and tracking periodic progress reports, and analyzing data to evaluate the workflow and devise proactive solutions for academic and administrative challenges.
Effective Recommendations and Outcomes:
The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from the attendees, featuring extensive discussions and constructive interventions that resulted in formulating a set of practical recommendations. Most notably, these included standardizing the templates and forms adopted for committee reports and intensifying mutual coordination to ensure the smooth flow of administrative work.
In conclusion, the College Deanship, with the follow-up of the Radiology Techniques Department Presidency, reaffirmed its strong commitment to sustaining these developmental activities. It praised the academic staff's dedication and positive engagement, which reflects a high sense of responsibility and teamwork in supporting the college and university's journey towards excellence and innovation.
