The Department of Fuel and Energy Technologies Engineering organized, on Sunday, April 5, 2026, a specialized scientific workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence in the Oil and Energy Sector," presented by the faculty member (Asst. Lect. Shahad Mahmoud Mohammed). The workshop aimed to highlight the pivotal role of intelligent systems in enhancing the operational efficiency of oil refineries and mitigating harmful emissions, while exploring strategic frameworks for developing the energy sector through modern technology. The sessions focused on aligning academic innovation with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and Goal 13 (Climate Action), to address future energy challenges and foster technological advancement within the industry.
