The Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department at the Engineering Technical College of Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, conducted on April 2, 2026, an applied study to evaluate the security level of identification systems based on RFID and NFC technologies used by monitoring personnel at elevator gates, within the university’s facilities. This study was carried out in accordance with the directives of the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, and within the of intelligent systems and digital transformation.
The study aimed to support digital transformation and address potential security vulnerabilities in the implemented systems. It included practical testing of the security cards in use, involving analysis processes, cloning susceptibility testing, and assessment of protection levels, contributing to strengthening a secure and reliable digital environment within the institution.
The study was conducted by Dr. Rami Qais Malik, Head of the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department, and Assistant Lecturer Haider Adi Mohammed. A detailed report, including findings and recommendations, was prepared and submitted to the Dean of the College, in support of ongoing efforts to enhance technological systems and achieve Sustainable Development Goals related to industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
