April 8, 2026 – The Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Clean Chemical Technologies and Their Impact on Sustainable Development,” delivered by the Head of the Department, Lecturer Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza. The workshop is part of the department’s continuous efforts to enhance environmental awareness and advance students’ scientific knowledge. The workshop focused on the significance of clean chemical technologies in reducing environmental pollution and optimizing the use of natural resources, contributing to sustainable development concepts and balancing industrial progress with environmental preservation. The event covered multiple key topics, including the latest methods and techniques in clean chemistry, their role in minimizing chemical waste, and practical applications that can be employed in industrial and research laboratories. Additionally, it discussed the crucial role of students in adopting sustainable practices. Students actively participated during the workshop, raising questions and providing scientific input that enriched the discussions and deepened their understanding of the presented concepts, emphasizing the importance of such activities in enhancing both practical and theoretical skills. This workshop aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision to provide a comprehensive educational environment that integrates academic knowledge with environmental awareness, highlighting the department’s commitment to preparing scientifically competent individuals capable of addressing environmental challenges and contributing to sustainable development.
