Based on the importance of drawing inspiration from bright role models in building leadership awareness and reinforcing Islamic values, the Women’s Affairs Unit in the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education – College of Education organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“Women’s Leadership: Lady Zainab (Peace Be Upon Her) as a Model.”
The seminar was presented by the lecturer in the Department of Qur’anic Sciences, Lecturer Hamid Ali Al-Talqani, and the Head of the Women’s Affairs Committee, Assistant Lecturer Noor Saad Mushab, along with a group of female students from the department. The seminar addressed the concept of women’s leadership and its intellectual and educational dimensions, drawing inspiration from the personality of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her) as a pioneering model of patience, steadfastness, strength of position, and sound management.
The seminar also highlighted the most prominent features of women’s leadership from an Islamic perspective, explaining the role of women in shaping societal awareness and their ability to exert positive influence in various fields, based on inspiring historical models.
The seminar witnessed notable attendance and fruitful interaction from the female students, who enriched the discussion with their valuable contributions, adding a lively academic atmosphere that reflected the importance of the topic and the depth of its impact.
This seminar comes within a series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Qur’anic Sciences, which aim to spread Islamic awareness and promote good role models in line with the department’s vision and its educational and academic objectives.
