The Department of Aesthetic and Laser Techniques participated in the activities of the Fifth Book Fair organized by Al-Mustaqbal University on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Hashim Abbas, and the Department Rapporteur, Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Jassim, along with first-year students. This participation comes within the framework of the department’s commitment to supporting cultural and scientific activities that contribute to enhancing students’ cognitive awareness and reinforcing the importance of reading as a fundamental pillar in building a well-rounded academic personality. During the visit, students were introduced to a diverse collection of scientific and literary publications, which contributed to broadening their knowledge and developing their intellectual interests. This initiative is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), through the promotion of lifelong learning, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Furthermore, the visit aimed to encourage students to engage in reading and self-directed learning, as well as to foster a stimulating educational environment that integrates both academic and cultural dimensions, thereby positively impacting their academic performance. The Department Presidency emphasized that participation in such events is consistent with its vision of supporting students, developing their competencies, and preparing them to become active contributors capable of keeping pace with scientific advancements and serving the community effectively. AL_mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq
