Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the launch of Sustainability Week from April 12 to April 15, 2026, with the participation of all faculties and departments. The initiative aims to enhance environmental and social awareness among students, faculty members, and staff. The week will feature a series of lectures, workshops, and interactive activities designed to promote a culture of sustainability across various aspects of university life, including education, energy, and community engagement. Competitions and educational presentations will also be organized to encourage students to innovate and actively participate in environmental and social initiatives. These events align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), which supports continuous learning and knowledge development, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), which emphasizes collaboration between the university, institutions, and the local community. The University Administration emphasized that Sustainability Week provides students with an opportunity to engage with critical environmental and social issues and to apply academic knowledge in practical contexts. Participation in the events is expected to contribute to cultivating an informed and active generation committed to sustainable development. The university calls on all students, staff, and faculty members to attend and actively participate in the various activities, highlighting that every small contribution can have a significant impact on society and the environment, while supporting the university’s mission to foster sustainability awareness and culture among all members of the academic community.
