The Head of the Media Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Akram Faraj Al-Rubaie, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Media Colleges in Iraq.
Representing private universities and colleges, the meeting was held this Thursday morning, April 9, 2026, at the presidency of the University of Baghdad.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Haider Al-Saadi, Advisor to the Prime Minister, alongside members of the Deans' Committee. Participants discussed a range of fundamental issues affecting Iraqi media at both academic and professional levels, aiming to develop educational outcomes that align with the requirements of the contemporary media labor market.
Leading the agenda was the discussion on implementing the "Bologna Process" in media colleges and departments across both public and private universities. This is seen as a strategic step toward unifying global academic standards. The meeting concluded by submitting several professional recommendations and development proposals to the relevant authorities for consideration.
