Continuing its approach of openness to global experiences, a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University visited the 18th edition (2026) of the Solarex Istanbul exhibition in Turkey. The delegation included the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and the Director of the Energy Research Center, Dr. Salwan Obaid. During the visit, the delegation explored the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies, particularly in high-efficiency solar panels, smart energy storage systems, and green hydrogen technologies. The delegation also held intensive meetings with leading international companies and specialized entities to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation, aiming to transfer knowledge and promote innovation in the renewable and sustainable energy sector within Iraq. This participation aims to equip the “Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center” with the latest global developments and to develop applied research projects that contribute to local energy solutions in alignment with sustainable development goals. This visit comes within the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University’s presidency to empower its advanced staff to keep pace with technological breakthroughs and to ensure the delivery of engineering and technical education that connects academia with the global job market.
