Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the hosting of the "4th International Future Sustainability Week 2026," held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the direct supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi. This event is classified as one of the most prominent academic gatherings concerned with sustainable development issues in Iraq. The week’s activities will launch under the theme "An Academic Vision... For a Green and Sustainable Future" from April 12 to 15, 2026, at the Al-Mustaqbal University campus in Babil Governorate. The event will feature wide participation from elite academics, researchers, and specialists in sustainability and the environment, with daily activities beginning at 9:00 AM. This week aims to highlight the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and enhance community awareness regarding the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices. Furthermore, it provides a platform to support scientific initiatives that contribute to addressing current environmental challenges and building a more sustainable future for coming generations.
