To prevent fire hazards caused by laser use, several essential precautions must be followed, especially when working with high-intensity and high-energy lasers. First, the laser beam path should be controlled using flame-resistant materials, and operations should be conducted in a well-ventilated area to prevent the accumulation of flammable vapors. It is also important to remove all flammable materials from the vicinity of the laser to reduce the risk of ignition. Second, fire suppression equipment such as fire extinguishers should be installed near the laser operation site for quick access in emergency situations. Training operators on laser hazards and fire safety protocols is crucial, along with conducting regular fire safety drills. Avoid bypassing interlocks that prevent laser emission when access is unsafe. Finally, proper management of flammable materials and electrical safety must be ensured through regular inspection and maintenance of laser systems. Together, these measures significantly reduce the risk of fire associated with laser use. Prepared by: Department Rapporteur, Assist.
