Under the patronage of the university president, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit, entitled Psychological Factors Affecting Self-Confidence and Enhancing Innovation and Presentation Skills, on Wednesday, 8 April 2026. This workshop was held as part of the Executive Plan of the Iraqi National Strategy for Women (2026), specifically within Axis Four: Social Development of Iraqi Women, under Item (2): Organizing seminars and workshops for training in soft skills, in alignment with the pillar of participation and institutional reform. The workshop was delivered by Ms. Zahraa Haider Kadhim Abdul Ameer, who addressed key factors that contribute to building self-confidence and the ability to face challenges in both academic and creative contexts. She also emphasized presentation skills, particularly in English, alongside effective methods of memorization and simplified explanation in both Arabic and English. The session further highlighted health-related factors that positively influence students’ performance, helping prepare them to excel in dentistry or academic careers in the future. In addition, it focused on developing public speaking skills and creating meaningful content. The workshop contributed to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), by enhancing students’ awareness and skillsets. The college deanship emphasized that organizing such workshops reflects the university's commitment to supporting students—especially in developing soft skills—and empowering them to build confident personalities capable of innovation and active contribution to society.
