As part of its ongoing community outreach activities to promote health awareness, Future University's Biomedical Engineering Department organized a volunteer campaign titled "Your Health in Ramadan: Between Nutrition and Technology," under the supervision of Engineer Zahraa Saad Khazal. The campaign aimed to provide a comprehensive scientific perspective on healthy fasting in the digital age. About the Campaign: The campaign aimed to educate the community on how to leverage modern technology to regulate dietary habits during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative focused on the role of portable medical devices and smart applications in monitoring blood sugar and metabolic levels, and how to balance the body's physiological needs while utilizing technological tools to ensure a safe and healthy fast. Methodology: The campaign employed a technical and health-focused approach, which included: • Explaining how to use smart medical sensors to monitor the health of those fasting and prevent dehydration or hypoglycemia. • Providing guidance on nutritional technology and how to select foods that support the efficiency of vital organs based on biomedical readings. • Presenting examples of software that analyzes the body's biological response to different dietary patterns, thus helping to create personalized smart diets for each individual. The initiative witnessed widespread engagement, contributing to simplifying complex concepts and connecting them to the daily use of technology. This reinforces the role of biomedical engineers as a link between technological innovation and human health. Objectives of the Scientific Activity: This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, including: • Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being): by promoting technologically supported nutritional awareness to reduce health risks associated with unhealthy habits during Ramadan. • Goal 4 (Quality Education): by training students to transfer academic knowledge and transform it into practical solutions that serve the community. • Goal 9 (Industry and Innovation): by highlighting the role of technological innovations in improving the quality of daily life and self-care.
