April 12, 2026 – The Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, inaugurated its dedicated booth as part of the “Sustainability Week” activities, in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the Dean of the College, Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayim.
During the visit, the University President and the Dean were introduced to the booth’s scientific displays and practical models, which highlighted the role of laboratory technologies in supporting sustainability concepts and environmental preservation. The booth also showcased students’ activities and scientific projects related to environmental applications.
A detailed explanation was provided regarding key techniques used in reducing pollutants and managing laboratory waste through safe and sustainable methods, along with emphasizing the role of students in adopting modern environmental practices within laboratory settings.
The University President commended the scientific level and organization of the booth, stressing the importance of such initiatives in promoting environmental awareness and enhancing students’ practical skills.
For her part, the Dean of the College affirmed her continuous support for activities that contribute to developing the educational environment and encouraging students to engage in innovation and active participation in environmental issues.
The opening of this booth reflects the department’s active participation in Sustainability Week and its commitment to integrating sustainability principles with practical scientific applications, ultimately contributing to preparing qualified graduates capable of addressing environmental challenges.
