The Department of Industrial Technology took part in the activities of Future Sustainability Week 2026 on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Medical Building – Ground Floor, under the direct supervision of the Head of Department, Professor Dr. Younis Abdul Ridha Al-Khafaji. The department presented a range of distinguished scientific and awareness activities targeting students and visitors, aiming to promote health awareness regarding the importance of the kidneys.
The department’s booth witnessed active engagement, استقبال a wide range of visitors and participants. It showcased various educational models highlighting the vital role of the kidneys in the human body, alongside organizing interactive educational competitions and distributing awareness brochures emphasizing the importance of water for kidney health.
The activities also included several outstanding scientific competitions, most notably the “Treasure of Knowledge” initiative, which featured interactive scientific questions, in addition to various competitions that contributed to enhancing students’ scientific knowledge in an engaging and dynamic manner.
This participation comes within the framework of reinforcing social responsibility concepts and fostering students’ spirit of innovation. It also supports the department’s role in contributing to building a healthier and more sustainable environment, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
