Al-Mustaqbal University Concludes Its Fifth Annual Book Fair with a Dialogue Session on Architecture, Design, and Writing

Al-Mustaqbal University concluded, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the activities of its Fifth Annual Al-Mustaqbal Book Fair, which was held on campus over several days as part of its ongoing efforts to support cultural life, promote knowledge, and encourage intellectual engagement among students and the wider academic community. The closing day featured a specialized dialogue session titled Architecture, Design, and Writing, which hosted writer Mohammed Al-Soufi and writer Faten Al-Sarraf, and was moderated by media presenter Salah Mansi. The session drew notable interaction from students of engineering and humanities departments, as well as attendees interested in cultural and creative affairs. The discussion explored the relationship between architectural design and the art of writing, and highlighted the ways in which these fields intersected in shaping a richer and more dynamic contemporary cultural scene. It also reflected the university’s commitment to opening broader spaces for dialogue and to connecting academic knowledge with creative expression. At the conclusion of the fair, the university presidency affirmed that the remarkable success of this edition, along with the distinguished participation of prominent intellectual and creative figures, reflected Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of serving as a center of learning and a platform that brings together diverse forms of knowledge and creativity. The presidency also emphasized that such initiatives would continue as part of the university’s mission to support education and culture in Iraq.
