Under official patronage and attendance, the pavilions of Sustainability Week 2026 were inaugurated at Al-Mustaqbal University on Sunday, 2026/4/12, marking the activities of the first day, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Prof. Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, along with a number of faculty members and students.
This event comes as part of the university’s efforts to promote environmental and health sustainability concepts. A number of scientific and awareness pavilions were inaugurated, reflecting the contributions of academic departments in presenting innovative projects that support sustainable development.
The pavilions featured distinguished student work covering various fields, including recycling, resource conservation, and sustainability applications in the healthcare sector, enhancing environmental awareness within the academic community.
The Department of Anesthesia Techniques had an active presence through its dedicated pavilion, where students presented ideas and applications highlighting the concept of sustainable anesthesia, including the optimal use of medical gases and reducing environmental impact within operating rooms, in addition to educational models demonstrating modern practices in this field.
At the conclusion of the tour, the University President praised the efforts of both students and faculty members, emphasizing the importance of supporting scientific activities that foster innovation and strengthen the role of educational institutions in serving society and achieving sustainability goals.
