As part of the activities of the Fourth International Mustaqbal Sustainability Week, the Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Technologies organized an outstanding exhibition of student projects at the Energy Research Center on Sunday, 12/4/2026. The event was held under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, with the participation of the department’s faculty members.
The event featured a variety of scientific and applied projects that reflected the students’ efforts in applying modern engineering concepts to address issues related to sustainability and energy. The projects covered diverse areas, including renewable energy systems, improving energy efficiency, and innovative solutions in applied mechanics.
During his tour of the exhibition, the Dean emphasized the importance of supporting student projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals, praising the students’ high academic level and creativity in presenting practical solutions to real-world challenges.
For their part, the department’s faculty members highlighted that this participation aligns with the department’s commitment to strengthening the practical and applied aspects of education, as well as linking academic outcomes with labor market needs and sustainability requirements.
The exhibition received wide engagement from attendees, thanks to the innovative ideas presented, which reflected the students’ awareness of the importance of sustainability and the role of engineering in achieving it.
