Al-Mustaqbal University organizes an awareness campaign to promote health awareness against the risks of e-cigarettes. ​The Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Sustainability Week Committee at the university, organized an educational and developmental awareness campaign under the supervision of (Assistant Instructor Ali Naji Radi, Assistant Instructor Haider Karrar Hussein, and Assistant Instructor Shams Saleem Abbas) on Monday, April 13, 2026, titled: "Risks of E-cigarettes and the Necessity of Prevention," under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi. ​The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of health awareness in protecting students and staff from the dangers of electronic smoking. It focused on clarifying the negative effects on the lungs, heart, and public health, while promoting a preventive culture and building a healthy university environment that limits the spread of such hazardous habits. ​This initiative came as part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance health awareness and highlight the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future, in line with the university's strategic vision and within the "Sustainability Week" activities. This reflects the focus on protecting youth and empowering their role in building a healthy society. ​The campaign witnessed a confirmation of the university's efforts in promoting a healthy lifestyle and saw wide interaction from students and staff in spreading awareness within the campus. ​Al-Mustaqbal University: The first university in Iraq.
