The Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Sustainability Week Committee at the university, organized an educational and developmental awareness campaign under the supervision of (Assistant Instructor Haider Karrar Hussein, Assistant Instructor Ali Naji Radi, and Assistant Instructor Maha Mohammed Shuwaish) on Sunday, April 12, 2026, titled: "Enhancing Cybersecurity Mechanisms and Prevention of Fraud and Electronic Crimes," under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi. ​The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of digital awareness in protecting students and staff by providing accurate information about the risks of unsafe internet use and methods for protecting personal data. It focused on the importance of cautious interaction with cyberspace, promoting a security culture, and building a safe digital environment that contributes to limiting electronic crimes through short lectures, specialized workshops, and the distribution of instructional brochures. ​This initiative came as part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance technical and cognitive awareness and highlight the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future, in line with the university's strategic vision and within the "Sustainability Week" activities.
